Hi!
Iām Deena, a composer, lyricist, and producer based in New York City. I was born in central PA to Syrian parents, and the intersection of these two worlds shapes my work. Music has always been my way of navigating and blending different perspectives, cultures, and ideas.
I grew up drawn to film scores and the storytelling power of musical theatre. I started piano lessons in first grade, and from there, my love for creating music grew. At Sarah Lawrence College, I studied music composition and technology, where I learned how to bring stories to life through sound.
Today, I focus on projects like student films, concert pieces, and stage productions. My goal is to transform personal experiences into music that, while rooted in my own emotions, evolves into stories others can connect with and make their own.
Thanks for taking the time to learn a little about me.
